METHUEN — The City Council is set Monday night to discuss a contract for police uniforms, a debate it had delayed at its last meeting.

The contract, with Neptune Uniforms & Equipment, allows police officers to purchase new or replacement uniforms with their uniform allowances. .

The meeting at 7 p.m. Monday has been relocated to the Methuen Community Television building due to an out-of-service elevator at City Hall.

The elevator, which provides access to the Great Hall and second floor conference room where most public meetings are held in City Hall, could be out of service for months, according to Mayor James Jajuga's office. Read More
